There is a petition on FB claimed by the Environmental Working Group that points out "Trump's EPA sided with the pesticide lobby over scientists and REFUSED to band chlorpyrifos, a pesticide so toxic that even small amounts can impair kids' IQs and structurally change the brain."
Then of course, the obligatory petition link is posted, URGING the reader to TELL TRUMP: PROTECT KIDS FROM BRAIN-ALTERING CHEMICALS! SIGN THE PETITION!
And you are sent to action.ewg.org to complete the task.
Far be it from me to discourage you from signing this petition, or any others like it.
But additionally, I would like to also URGE you to not be complacent about signing off on these things and then continuing your life as though everything is normal, and there's nothing you need to do to change your habits.
Blog post after blog post here on this site point out that there are actions you can take, personally, to reduce, reuse, recycle your use of plastics, first and foremost.
May I petition YOU to make some of these changes?
