We humans *must* have our addictions. Here's how the thirst for wine is carving up the Napa Valley of Northern CA, USA, affecting watersheds and biodiversity.
Â
When I was a young girl, I wanted to believe in the Scripture in Isaiah that promised each person would have his own vine and fig tree. Then of course, I grew up; reality and modern conveniences prevailed. We are so lazy; I could see how much better I liked it with other people raising my food, pressing my wine.
Â
I'm really starting to believe we screwed up royally thinking we need to have modern conveniences. Industrialized society: phooey.
