This is what one person -- just one person!! -- can do, with enough determination, enough focus.
Jadav “Molai” Payeng, of the Assam region of India (Assam tea!), decided thirty years ago as a teenager that he couldn't bear to see the reptiles dying in a sandy region near his home.
To summarize the article -- which tells the story much better than I will here -- he healed the earth near him, creating an ecosystem approach 1,360 acres.
Bravo, Mr Payeng! I salute you.
