The legendary television presenter and all-around-good-guy has done it again: according to the UK's Daily Express, he has stopped the Chief Minister of Sabah (Malaysia), Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman, from approving a bridge that would help corporate interests destroy more rainforest habitat.
Local elephants and orangutans can breathe a sigh of relief, for the moment.
Also, I was not aware of this organization that apparently Sir Attenborough wrote on behalf of -- the World Land Trust. (Seems kinda like calling themselves the Department of Redundancy Department, but whatever.)
It does look like they have some successful projects and are not out to simply take your money and send you address labels/gifts in return.
